DIY #5

DO NOT USE YOUR NAILS TO POP PIMPLES. This leaves scars and damaged pores. If you must do it use a Q-tip that has been cut in half so that you use the cotton parts like tweezers. Less pain, less scarring.

Until next time,

      Stay beautiful <3

DIY Tip #4

SO you’re out of eyeliner, need a 24-hour look, want more intensity, or you’re just too lazy to go buy colored eyeliner. What do you do? Here’s a tip for a more intense, precise line using the Wet Application Technique.

You will need:

-A small, thin or flat liner brush

- Eyeshadow

1. Wet your brush. The wetter, the more intense.

2. Dip into to shadow. Obviously.

3. Line your eyes in whichever way suits you. <3

I love this. It really pops with blue, brown, and hazel eyes.

ANATOMY OF THE EYE ” MAKEUP VERSION ” !!
LIGHTEST SHADE - Apply the lightest shade as a base on the entire eyelid including the brow bone but avoid going all the way to the eyebrow for a more sophisticated look.
MEDIUM SHADE - Sweep the medium shade over the middle of the eyelid and blur it toward the outer edge of the eye to add depth.
DARKEST SHADE - Apply the darkest shade along the base of the lashes with the beveled precision applicator to define and accentuate the eyes and intensify the eyes.
HIGHLIGHTER / ILLUMINATOR SHADE - Apply the highlighter to the inner corner of the eye and below the eyebrow for a finishing touch. This helps to illuminate the eyes, making it look bigger and brighter.

Diagrams like this aren’t necessarily the right thing to go by… there is no ONE specific eyeshadow look that is going to compliment EVERY eye shape. (Even though this is a pretty broad chart, and is okay for the most part..) A style that looks great on a person with monolids is going to look completely different on someone with deep-set eyes, and so on.
So instead of trying to follow things like this, or the diagrams that come with your eyeshadow palettes, go on YouTube and look through tutorials until you find someone with a similar eye shape to yours!!! Then you’ll really be able to see what flatters you.

DIY Tip #3

EYEBROWS. We all have them, but I don’t think we have realized how much they frame our faces and bring out our true natural beauty! So here is an easy way to fill, groom, and enhance yours with products you already have.

Step 1: use a clean mascara wand to comb them up and out.

Step 2: use an eyeliner, brow pencil or shadow to outline the shape. Dark hair: 1-2 shades lighter than your natural hair. Light hair: 1-2 shades darker.

Step 3: Fill in the brows. Fill the area you outlined.

Step 4: Gently use the clean mascara wand to brush them out again. this blends any harsh and unnatural lines.

Step 5: (OPTIONAL) use an extremely small amount of Aquaphor (Vaseline tends to be oily, so unless you have dry skin then I don’t recommend it) to lightly smooth the hairs to keep them in place. Brow gel or clear mascara works too.
